Overview

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin is a clear, satin finish that is ideal for dense, exotic hardwoods that have a tight grain and high oil content. Osmo’s unique combination of natural oils and waxes allow for a highly durable finish that cares for your wood and enhances the natural tone of the wood. This formulation is stain-resistant, water-repellent and abrasion-resistant and will not crack, peel, flake or blister. It’s easy application with no need for primers or sanding between coats makes it the ideal product for your interior wood.

Preparation

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust.

• Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical paint stripper.
• Sand the surface carefully, starting with a coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade. For flooring 120-150 and for furniture 220-240.
• Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust and grease.
• Fill any small cracks with an appropriate wood filler, for larger holes we recommend .

Application

Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.

• Osmo wood wax can be brushed, wiped, dipped or sprayed.
• Apply thinly evenly along the wood grain.
• Allow to dry for approximately 30 minutes then wipe away excess product.
• Apply one coat to furniture and 2 coats to flooring.
• Allow the first coat to dry for 12 hours.
• Apply a second coat, Allow to dry for approximately 30 minutes then wipe away excess product.
• Allow to dry for 12 hours.

Aftercare & Storage

Cleaning

Surfaces should be dry wiped regularly, to remove dust, dirt and light scuffs use . Alternatively, surfaces can be cleaned at regular intervals with .

For stubborn stains, marks and scratches, refresh the surface with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.
